… warum genau wollen wir das jetzt so machen?

Online and Off-

At the moment, I’m hanging out in Second Life, waiting for the first voice-enabled Web Montag in SL to start. Everybody’s standing round in a circle outside a small contained garden in DardWood (or hanging round in this sad droopy-head way neglected SL-avatars have), waiting for everybody else to figure out their new speech capabilities. Very online, if you ask me.

Very offline, on the other hand, was this month’s (or shall I say last week’s) MedienMittwoch on Piracy in the World Wide Web. At least, now we know everything about how to spot, tackle and properly prosecute download-offenders. And of course excessive sharings hurts artist. But what about convenience, alternative revenue models, alternatives to the Billboard 100. And frankly, who’s surprised that noone’s realizing the value of music anymore now that producer and marketers teach us it’s just so much disposable soundwave and lifetime (yes, I am talking PopIdol and other “casting” shows).

So, not much blogging material this time round. The Apartment is a pretty cool location, though (even if it was stifling hot down there).
