De schrifft de blifft
Those who write will remain. Old German saying. Not so, apparently, in this digital day and age. Especially not if you’re a wikipedia editor.
Mark Bernstein (see Wikipedia and Eastgate or More Wikipedia) is currently rather peeved at wikipedia editing-slams which appear to result in deletion-tagging entries on Eastgate and their currently strongest product, Tinderbox.
And looking at the entries, I can’t help but agree. Those sorry little subs entirely fail to convey the role Eastgate Systems (as well as Mark himself) play in the hypertext/hyperfiction, blogging or personal productivity scenes.
Alternatively, is there no-one in the wikipedia-circuit who can whip up a page or two about literary hypertext, personal content management and food-blogs?

Wikipedia is the encyclopedia *anyone* can edit: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Introduction). Why not enthrall us sorry-little-stub writers with your acumen?
Good point. However, I’ve not only written for Eastgate’s e-journal TEKKA, but - full disclosure ahead - have been working for Eastgate on several occasions. Writing my very first Wikipedia article on the company, the owner or one of its products just wouldn’t sound right, would it.
Yep, it’s probably better somebody who is incompetent does it ;) (A classic double bind ;) )
No seriously. Do it. Try to be objective ;)
